If your organization is interested in being promoted on this blog, please feel free to contact me. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Commonwealth Gardens- Begun by Sellus Wilder, Frankfort City Commissioner, Commonwealth Gardens works to promote sustainability in Kentucky’s capital city by reducing energy consumption associated with food supply because the average meal travels 1700 miles in order to get to your plate. This non-profit creates community gardens for the residents of this city, with three community gardens currently in operation: Second and Logan in South Frankfort, Todd and Logan in South Frankfort, and Major and Wilson in Bellepoint. To find out more, visit www.selluswilder.com.

Latitude Artist Community- This non-profit operates as a working studio for local individuals with disabilities who have demonstrated an aptitude in the visual arts.  Regardless of an artist's condition, Bruce Burris and Crystal Bader are committed to holding each individual to the same standard and dignity as any of the world's sculptors, painters, or drawers. As a result, the artists from LAL have been featured in exhibits in Paris and New York and on the television show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  LAL is extremely active in the community range from art exhibits to gardens to yoga sessions.  For more information and to find out how you can get involved, check out their webiste at http://www.latitudeart.blogspot.com/.
