Loving Kentucky

At the historic Lincoln Birthplace, a tour guide defined home as, "the place where something began and flourished." I would venture to say that, if you've ever lived in Kentucky, you can call it home because the rolling hills, coal-filled mountains, and marshy wetlands inspire all visitors in a way unlike any other part of this country.

The problem is, most individuals fail to realize the beauty and connectivity of the vastly different regions of this state. I, too, have fallen victim to egging on the stereotypes associated with Eastern and Western Kentucky. However, as stated on our state flag, "United We Stand; Divided We Fall."

Watch this space for thought-provoking posts on the true beauty of our state.
